CORPORATE AND COMMERCIAL PARTNER

Our client are looking for a Corporate and Commercial lawyer to join their growing Corporate & Commercial practice. Although they provide legal services to many domestic and start-up companies, they are well known for meeting the commercial legal requirements of the UK subsidiaries and establishments of international and multi-national corporations, many of which are household names. A large number of their clients are headquartered in Asia. They currently provide a wide range of commercial advice and wish to consolidate this and expand into new opportunities that arise for their clients.

The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years’ PQE.

Areas of expertise would include some or all of the following:

Mergers and acquisitions
Strategic investments
Capital raising
Debt finance
Shareholder arrangements
Joint ventures
Private equity funding
Start-ups
Business restructuring
Corporate insolvency
Contested investor exits
Employee share schemes
Corporate governance
Company secretarial
Shareholder, investor, buy-back and option agreements
Director agreements
Sale and purchase of shares and company assets
Sale of goods and services, including cross-border
Consumer law
Product liability
Outsourcing
Agency and distribution
Data protection
Compliance/Regulatory
Intellectual property
IT
E-commerce.

The candidate must be comfortable advising clients directly, particularly clients who are not always familiar with English law and corporate and commercial practices generally.
